BRAIN ATTACK

Body Basics: Brain and
Nervous System
The brain may simply be
the bossiest part of the body: It tells virtually every other part of your body
what to do, all the time, whether you're aware of it or not.It not only
controls what you think and feel, how you learn and remember, and the way you
move your body, but also things you might be less aware of — such as the
beating of your heart and whether you feel sleepy or awake.
The Brain & Nervous
System in Everyday Life
If you think of the brain
as a central computer that controls all the functions of your body, then the
nervous system is like a network that relays messages back and forth from it to
different parts of the body. It does this via the spinal cord, which runs from
the brain down through the back and contains threadlike nerves that branch out
to every organ and body part.
During the early years following birth, humans manufacture an estimated 250,000 neurons per minute and then spend the next few years wiring them together. Traditionally, it was assumed that this neural plasticity settles down by adulthood.

Central Nervous system
the central nervous system (CNS) is the part of the nervous system consisting of the brain and spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system (PNS), is composed of nerves leading to and from the CNS, often through junctions know as ganglia.

Brain function
The brain
processes sensory information, controls and coordinates the movement, behavior
, feelings and can even prioritize the homeostatic body functions such as
heartbeat , blood pressure , fluid balance and body temperature . However, the
charge to take the automatic process is the medulla . The brain is responsible
for cognition, emotion, memory and learning.

Until not
long ago , it was thought that the brain had exclusive operating areas until
through imaging it was determined that when a function is performed, the brain
acts similarly to a symphony orchestra several areas interacting with each
other. Furthermore it was established that when a non- specialized brain area
is damaged, other areas can make a partial replacement of their duties.
In conclusion the brain is most important organ in all our body, some people think that the hearth or the lungs, but without all the function of the brain, our hearth can't beat and we can't breathe. With our brain we do every action, we can think, feel, speak, move, and all things that we do, in every moment and the involuntary things we do is thanks to our brain.
